  1. The Pepsi ad did not understand the issues like police brutality, and the protest felt out of touch, which caused them to have so many problems. It felt tone-deaf, and it tried to hit the mark with a serious topic, but it came off as disrespectful and shallow. This is honestly another ad where it could have been prevented because they could have revised what they were going for.

  2. Pepsi failed to accurately capture the gravity of issues like police brutality. Instead of respectfully engaging with the topic, it seemed to oversimplify the protest, which made it feel disconnected and insensitive. Rather than using its platform to contribute meaningfully to the conversation, it came across as exploitative.

  3. I agree that the ad Pepsi made with Kendall Jenner was very insensitive and out of touch. Pepsi made it seem like soda would solve all the problems happening when that's obviously not true. It's like they wanted to profit off of something serious that a lot of people face without understanding and educating themselves on why making an ad like this is tone deaf.
